I’m sure it’s different for those who started listening to music during the CD era.

It all comes down to what makes your ears happy.
I’ve tried the high quality Blu-Ray surround sound version of Quadrophenia, my go-to album for testing out a sound system, and my 50 year old vinyl original Brit cut of the album still makes my ear happier.

The Blu-Ray sounds cold as ice, the vinyl is like a warm blanket.

I got a reverb “amp” this weekend, less than 60$. Neat little unit,I’ll use it occasionally but it didn’t cost me much and it’s worth about 150$.

Ohio Republicans keep wanting to change our marijuana laws but they are so busy diddling kids and stealing from electric companies they never get around to it.

I did see where they were going to put in words that it is illegal to bring MJ in from another state which is UnAmerican on so many levels. I mean we share common foot trails as well as the federal constitution that gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce.

But do stoners sew the state of Ohio for grievance? No. They drive over and buy their bag of weed just like they always did. Shit. We lived decades in the black market. You don’t scare us with your pomp and circumstance. Now a pee cup….that’s scary. Pee cup is real.

Wrong side of the state for me.

Michigan is so cheap even with the 40% add it is still cheaper than Ohio. The supply in Monroe Michigan is like that ofFrankenmuth Michigan if weed was Christmas. I’ll go up and buy a couple ounces and a bunch of gummies before Christmas and that should get me to June. May.

I have rules of use these days and that has helped my supply last longer. Significantly. Plenty of room to consume 40% less.

Twice a year on the trips seems good for an old guy.

I think I need another lab or maybe a golden pup as a wingman for my girl. I’m so busy with other stuff, I’m not certain I’m able to fill the wingman position as well as I was.

My cats are a lot more expensive with their $1.25 Sheba bullshit they each eat three times a day. Dogs aren’t that bad. I have a healthy dog so not crucified by vet bills.

It’s a gamble. She sure LOVES the dog park. She likes the boys and will fall in love a couple times a month. She plays hard. Wrestling. A whore really.

Little fers aren’t cheap.

I know get a rescue!! Well,this is our last run at it and I really like the demeanor of the retrievers vs surprise…..your dog hates the sound of wind and is allergic to things made of wood.

Yea, he’s a rescue and he hasn’t come out from under that table since he killed the cat. We love him though. Stick your phone down there and get a picture. You’ll see how cute he is.

I need a cool dog for my last go. Shit, I adopted a human. Not guilt tripping on Fido.

The gamble would be that now I have two dogs watching my every move and ½ step behind me as I walk from one room to another instead of just the one.

The idea is to get her off my heals. Jamming me. She wants to be outside but she wants me with her. I got shit to do. Go outside with your brother.

I’ve been contemplating getting a puppy, or another parrot. Problem is another parrot could initiate emotional stress of my established African Grey (as she is 100% bonded with me, she could get quite upset seeing another bird in the house), even though the idea is it’s a companion for her while I’m away. Very complicated situation.
And adding a puppy is less risky in that regard but my parrot would still probably sense a battle for attention and the puppy will grow and a full size dog becomes a possible hazard for a parrot as it could fall and crush the parrot or even attack it- not an uncommon way for domesticated parrots to die from. It’s a tough call.
And I would absolutely play favorites no matter which species I added to my domesticated farm.

I got my dryer vented and the new dryer hooked up. I just about broke my wrist on the hole saw last night about 1:00 am. I’ve declared the new dryer is everybody’s Christmas present from me this year. So put a bow on it and sing a fing carol, Santa was here.

So glad to have that done. Wake me sometime in January to start thinking about my dahlia seed starts.

I declared no Thanksgiving about two weeks ago and that didn’t go over very well. Since I’m the cook I had some leverage. Delegated everything out and I’m only responsible for the stuffing this year. They said “we don’t even need stuffing”. I said you keep your ignorant Thanksgiving menu out of your mouth. I didn’t slap nobody but now they had the leverage. If I want stuffing I’ll need to make it myself. See, I gave up too many concessions in previous years. Back when I wrote “art of the meal” I was younger and more flexible. Now I want a_traditional_ American Thanksgiving where the woman cook and the men drink and watch football. I blew that years ago trying to prove something that I’m not sure I ever proved.

Remember men, if they are looking for volunteers it’s time to walk the dog.

If my daughter gets her azz moving on her casseroles we could be eating tonight. Woot!

Had my wife start yesterday on her potato salad and mashed potatoes. Daughter made her Mac n cheese yesterday. Someone else bringing a pumpkin Cheesecake, never had it but it sounds good. Today I’ll do the turkey, stuffing, cheddar biscuits and cranberry sauce.
The best part will be later in the day when I take a big plate up to a homeless guy who hangs out behind a gas station close to town.
Getting cold here tonight so I’m sure he’ll appreciate that.

Happy Thanksgiving to everybody.

We ate last night and it was amazing. Everything. We can cook!! I’ll eat it a few more times today and tomorrow.

I’m thankful for a lot of things but mostly that the job from hell is done and I don’t have to climb into the attic today with a sawzall and a bad attitude.

Going to play guitar and hike the dog in December as my husband / dad points are high currently and I’ve learned to ride that wave over the years. Those points tend to expire if you don’t use them.
