There’s some bizarre theories floating about in the usual conspiracy tainted web spaces, quora, X, reddit, that the hamas terrorists who committed the atrocities during the 10/7 attacks where actually Israeli commandos in disguise.
Personally, I don’t buy it. While I have no illusions that the Israeli security services and military have no qualms about killing their enemies I simply can’t believe that they would perpetrate such atocities against their own people.
I can see them either through complancency or outright ineptitude missing the signs that Hamas was training for the 10/7 attacks and not acting upon the more than overwhelming intelligence that the attacks were imminent; but actually participating in the attacks is beyond lacking credibility.
